Sister Bea Eichten
Six of us participated in the 125th anniversary celebration of St. Francis Health in Breckenridge. It was a windy day but we still enjoyed the outdoor mass where I offered the homily and the six of us—with the help of a recording—extended the Franciscan blessing to the assembled group. Sisters Ardis Cloutier, Annella Henger, Doretta Meier, Caroline Stoltz, Char Grossman and myself represented the many sisters who have served there as staff or board members. Recently retired Dave Nelson, who has been part of our healthcare ministry for many years, welcomed us and introduced us to Terry Anderson, the new President/CEO (pictured with Doretta and Annella). After lunch, we toured the "new" hospital and nursing home and met many who had worked with, or knew, Sisters Ardis and Annella. There were many stories and happy reunions. It was good to be there!
