Franciscan Sisters and employees donate through annual Caring by Sharing project

This year the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls annual Caring by Sharing project focused on supporting Tool Shed, Inc., Little Falls. Employees, sisters and friends raised $1,815 to assist Tool Shed in developing healthy life skills for women in transition, specifically following incarceration. For the last three years, Tool Shed has provided weekly support groups to ex-offenders and their families helping them rebuild their lives and relationships with over 450 Morrison County at-risk families. Assisting at-risk families is the most effective way to break the cycle, building a strong, healthy foundation on which to build an improved lifestyle.

Presenting the donation (L to R): Jan Burley—FSLF Values Committee member; Anne Roach—Tool Shed executive director; Tina Theimer—Tool Shed board member; Julene Ley—FSLF Values Committee member.

The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, is a community of Catholic women religious who follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, walking in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. We believe that the living of a poor, simple and prayerful community life is a ministry of presence and witness. Our doors are open to the public to celebrate Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel and to benefit from the St. Francis Music Center and St. Francis Health & Recreation Center. We welcome those who wish to join us as sisters, associates, volunteers, transfer sisters, friends and donors.
