For nine years Sister Mary Lou Eltgroth has been the Regional Spiritual Assistant for the Regional Secular Franciscans. On May 31, the end of her term was celebrated with a thank-you party given by the Regional Council in Buffalo, Minn. Sister Mary Lou was presented with the “Queen of Peace Region of Secular Franciscan Order” award. She is the only Little Falls Franciscan who has been in this position; although there are other sisters who are local Spiritual Assistants. Sister Mary Lou will continue her services as OSF Spiritual Assistant through the Brainerd Fioretti Fraternity.
