Caring by Sharing project raised $1,375

Franciscan Sisters, employees and volunteers at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, participated in their Caring by Sharing project, which benefitted Habitat for Humanity of Morrison County and Oasis Central Minnesota this year. By bidding on donated baskets, they raised $1,375, which will be shared by the two organizations. Members of the FSLF Activities and Values Committees joined together in presenting checks to the executive directors. They are from L to R: Julene Ley, Rick Dietz, Tim Poland—Oasis Central Minnesota, Kelly Olson, Kathy Kahlhamer—Habitat for Humanity of Morrison County, Carol Johnson, Karin LeBlanc and Sandy Plante. The vision for Habitat for Humanity is “a world where everyone has a decent place to live.” Oasis has four main programs: Share a Meal, Paint-a-Thon, Fix a Home and Ruby’s Pantry.

The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, is a community of Catholic women religious who follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, walking in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. We believe that the living of a poor, simple and prayerful community life is a ministry of presence and witness. Our doors are open to the public to celebrate Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel and to benefit from the St. Francis Music Center and St. Francis Health & Recreation Center. We welcome those who wish to join us as sisters, associates, volunteers, transfer sisters, friends and donors.
