Sister Fabian reconnects with former Bishop

Sister Fabian Schneider posed for a picture with a previous Bishop at the Installation of Bishop Donald Kettler

SFabianBishopWebas the new Bishop of the Diocese of St. Cloud on November 7, 2013, in St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Cloud. Pictured with Sister Fabian is Bishop Jerome Hanus, OSB (Benedictine Monk), who was our Bishop in the St. Cloud Diocese from 1987-1994. At that time he was named Archbishop and transferred to Dubuque, Iowa, where he remained. He is now retired and living in his Monastery in Conception, Missouri. Sister Fabian got to know him through her work at the Bishop’s residence (before he was bishop here) and he was a guest of Bishop Bartholome. Of course, anyone who meets Sister Fabian, always remembers her and is happy to see her.

The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, is a community of Catholic women religious who follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, walking in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. We believe that the living of a poor, simple and prayerful community life is a ministry of presence and witness. Our doors are open to the public to celebrate Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel and to benefit from the St. Francis Music Center and St. Francis Health & Recreation Center. We welcome those who wish to join us as sisters, associates, volunteers, transfer sisters, friends and donors.
