Francis' wonder and awe at God's creation led to him being a person of joy in spite of his suffering or any obstacles he faced. During this Lenten season, we can know the joy of Christ if we let St. Francis' life and teachings deepen our wonder and awe. We will look at three connected themes: Wonder and awe in our own selves--Christ within; Wonder and awe in consideration of others--Christ alive in others; and Wonder and awe of creation--God's energy and life and grace all around us.
Presenter, Jacquelyne Witter, designs and leads days of reflection, retreats, adult formation presentations, parish missions and regional, diocesan and national conferences. Witter is the executive director of Artison Ministry Designs, a consultancy providing a wide variety of formation and development services to faith-based organizations; and the director of spiritual care and chaplain at St. Gertrude's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shakopee. There is no cost to attend; free-will donations will be accepted. For more information or to register by March 3, contact Joan Wingert at (320)632-0693 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
