The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls will honor five of their sisters who celebrate 50 years as members of the Order on Sunday, August 10, 2008. These sisters represent 250 years of dedicated service to the people of God in the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. They have served in varied ministries throughout the United States, Nicaragua and Venezuela. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated at St. Francis Convent in Little Falls. Following the Mass their invited guests will enjoy a luncheon and a reception.
The jubilarians entered the novitiate at St. Francis Convent on July 31, 1958. They made their first profession of vows on August 12, 1960, and their final profession of vows on August 12, 1963. They have seen many changes in the Church and in the Franciscan Congregation throughout these 50 years. Members of the class are Sister Marjorie Bischoff, Sister Joanne Klinnert, Sister Juanita Mauer, Sister Rose Margaret Schneider and Sister Christelle Watercott.

Sister Marjorie Bischoff
Sister Marjorie Bischoff was born in St. Cloud, Minn. She has ministered as an elementary school teacher and pastoral minister. She served in Fergus Falls, Morris, Alexandria, St. Cloud, Waite Park, Hastings and New Hope. She is currently ministering as the Director of Pastoral Care in St. Joseph Parish in New Hope, Minn. |

Sister Joanne Klinnert
Sister Joanne Klinnert was born in New York Mills, Minn. She has ministered as staff nurse, head nurse, instructor, health screening, associate professor, home care coordinator, director of nursing, missionary, women and children’s advocate. She served in Prestonsburg, Craynor and Martin, Ky.; Little Falls, Onamia, Annandale and Minneapolis, Minn., San Felix, Venezuela and Managua, Nicaragua. She is currently a staff member at Sabbath House, Minneapolis, where they provide a quiet reflection place for people away from the business of daily life. |

Sister Juanita Mauer
Sister Juanita Mauer was born in Fergus Falls, Minn. She has ministered as a staff nurse, nursing service director, research registered nurse and home care nurse. She served in Breckenridge, Brainerd and Little Falls, Minn.; Milwaukee and Dodgeville, Wis.; Espanola and Santa Fe, N. Mex. She currently lives in Santa Fe, N. Mex., where she is a hospice nurse and an active member of St. John the Baptist Parish serving as a lector, Eucharistic minister and teacher in the RCIA Program. |

Sister Rose Margaret Schneider
Sister Rose Margaret Schneider was born in St. Joseph, Minn. She has ministered as an elementary school teacher and principal, vice president for Mission Effectiveness for Franciscan Sisters Health Care, vice president of the Franciscan Sisters and Community Minister/President of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls. She served in Elk River, St. Cloud and Little Falls, Minn., Cudahy and South Milwaukee, Wis. She currently lives in Richmond, Calif., where she is a teacher of English as a second language for Catholic Charities Family Literacy Program for immigrants. |

Sister Christelle Watercott
Sister Christelle Watercott was born in Foley, Minn. She has ministered as an elementary school teacher and principal, music coordinator and advisor, religious education coordinator, pastoral associate and hospitality manager. She served in Alexandria, Morris, Sartell and Little Falls, Minn. She is currently the Hospitality Manager for the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls. |
