Sister Mary Rosella (Agnes) Rauer, 89
Sister Mary Rosella (Agnes) Rauer, 89, died on December 18, 2005, at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Thursday, December 22, at 10 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Wednesday, December 21, from 4 - 8:30 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on December 22. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21. Arrangements are by the Shelley Funeral Chapel, Little Falls.
Sister Mary Rosella was born on July 13, 1916, in St. Paul, Minn. She was the ninth of ten children born to the late Karl and Mary (Riede) Rauer. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls, Minnesota, on July 31, 1950. She made first profession of vows on August 12, 1952, and final vows on August 12, 1955. She was a Franciscan Sister for 55 years.
Sister Rosella ministered as an office worker, switchboard operator/receptionist and library aide. She ministered at Little Falls and Perham, Minn; Dodgeville, Milwaukee and South Milwaukee, Wis.
Sister Rosella was preceded in death by all her siblings: Joseph (infant), Joseph, Baby Girl, Carl, Marie, Pius, Margaret, Ann and Magdalene Harvieux. She is survived by nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews and her Franciscan Community. |

Sister Mary Redempta (Rose) White (95), died on September 18, 2005, at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Tuesday, September 20, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Monday, September 19, from 4 - 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Tuesday, September 20. Arrangements are by the Brenny & Simonet Funeral Chapel, Little Falls. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 19.
Sister Mary Redempta was born on September 20, 1909, in Breckenridge, Minn. She was the fourth of four children born to the late Charles and Rose (Couture) White. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls on August 12, 1940. She made her first profession of vows on August 12, 1942, and final vows on August 12, 1945. She was a Franciscan Sister for 65 years.
Sister Redempta was a bookkeeper and clerical worker in many departments at the Motherhouse of the Franciscan Sisters.
Sister Redempta was preceded in death by her brother, Tom; sister, Alice; and two infant siblings. She is survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and her Franciscan Community. |

Sister Mary Jeremia (Martha) Trutwin, 95, died on September 19, 2005, at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Saturday, September 24, at 10 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Friday, September 23, from 4 - 8:30 p.m., and from 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral on September 24. Arrangements are by the Brenny & Simonet Funeral Home, Little Falls. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 23.
Sister Mary Jeremia was born on July 17, 1910, near North Prairie, Minn. She was the fifth of seven children born to the late Frank and Victoria (Stodolka) Trutwin. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls, Minnesota, on August 12, 1933. She made her first profession of vows on August 12, 1935, and final vows on August 12, 1938. She was a Franciscan Sister for 72 years.
Sister Jeremia ministered as a cook, homemaker, seamstress and laundress. She served in Little Falls, Fergus Falls, St. Cloud and Flensburg.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Mike, Ann Sobieck, Leo, Peter and Roman. Survivors include her sister Regina Kalis, Little Falls and sister-in-law Geri Trutwin Kolstedt, Bloomingdale, Ill., nieces, nephews and her Franciscan community.

Sister Mary Boniface (Eleanor) Maier, 90, died on March 25, 2005, at St. Gabriel’s Hospital, Little Falls, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on March 29, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent from 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. on March 28 and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on March 29. Arrangements are by the Brenny & Simonet Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 28.
Sister Mary Boniface was born on March 12, 1915, near Rice, Minn. She was the first of six children born to the late John and Sophia (Radziej) Maier. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls, Minnesota, on August 12, 1934. She made her first profession of vows on August 12, 1936, and final vows on August 10, 1939. She was a Franciscan Sister for 71 years.
Sister Boniface ministered as a seamstress, cook and baker. In her later years she made hundreds of crafts.
Sister Boniface was preceded in death by her brothers George and Leo and sister Henrietta Layman. Survivors include her brother Clarence (Lorraine), Baxter; sister Loretta, Tacoma, Wash; brother-in-law Donald Layman; nieces and nephews, and her Franciscan Community. |

Sister Mary Virgil (Marie) Denzen, 85, died on February 15, 2005, at St. Gabriel’s Hospital, Little Falls, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Saturday, February 19, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Friday, February 18, from 4 - 8:30 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on February 19. Arrangements are by the Brenny & Simonet Funeral Home, Little Falls. A wake will be held at the Convent at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 18.
Sister Virgil was born on May 18, 1919, in Buckman, Minn. She was the third of six children born to the late Peter and Barbara (Druschba) Denzen. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls, Minnesota, on August 12, 1940. She made her first profession of vows on August 12, 1942, and final vows on August 12, 1945. She was a Franciscan Sister for 64 years.
Sister Virgil ministered as an elementary teacher and/or principal from 1943-1988. She served in Morris, Elk River, Waite Park, Onamia, Alexandria, Osakis and Little Falls.
Her sisters Helen Boltz and Catherine Lochner and brother-in-law, Lawrence Otremba, preceded her in death. Survivors include siblings William ( Marion), Little Falls; and Cecilia Otremba, Little Falls, and Emma (Doyle) Wilson, San Clemente, Calif.; nieces and nephews and her Franciscan Community. |
