This collection of favorite family recipes and inspirational quotations from the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, also features photographs of the sisters and personal stories and memories about each recipe. There are recipes for appetizers, breads, main dishes, salads and vegetables, and sweets. It also includes helpful hints from the sisters and prayers and blessings. 306 pages, 4.25” x 6”, with a lay-flat spiral binding. $12.95 plus shipping and handling and applicable sales tax.

Clare’s Well Cookbook
 Nourishment for the Body, Memories for the Heart, Healing for the Soul
For years Clare’s Well guests have been asking for recipes we use. If an admired dish happened to have a real recipe, we share it along with the words, “Someday we ought to make a cookbook.” That someday arrived in the summer of 2000 when we began in earnest to collect our guests’ and our own favorite recipes. With the encouragement of the members of the Visioning Circle and the help of our friend Monica Rudawski, we expanded from a focus on nourishment for the body to include the nourishment of memories for the heart and healing for the soul. The result is a book which fits as well in any room in the house as it does in the kitchen.
The 189 pages with over 100 photographs between the covers reflect the almost 13 years of experience not only in the kitchen but throughout the 40 acres of the farm and in the hearts of thousands of persons who have been a part of Clare’s Well. What simmers in the kitchen and what is passed around the dining room table stimulates memories as senses of smell and taste stir up emotions linked to childhood and precious celebrations throughout life. This cookbook is about one-third recipes and two-thirds stories and pictures which bring back feelings associated with days at Clare’s Well.
Clare’s Well Cookbook features recipes for breads, soups, salads and dressings, vegetables, main dishes, vegetarian dishes, sweets and canning; stories about Clare’s Well from staff, guests, friends and Annie the resident dog; and a special section of blessings and rituals. 189 pages, 6” x 8.5” with a lay-flat spiral binding.
