Lots of family-friendly fun, interesting displays, indoor/outdoor tours and a variety of fantastic music and vendors, all with a green message—were the highlights of the 2015 Green Fair Folk Festival on Wednesday, August 5, outdoors on the west lawn at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls. This was the ninth year for the Green Fair, which welcomed over 1,000 people and 60+ vendors. Special thanks to the many individuals who helped in countless ways to make this event possible. The Green Fair Folk Festival, an afternoon and evening of music along with environmentally friendly ideas, was free and open to the public.
“Fletcher and the Screaming Trumpets,” a newly—formed teen band from the URock Camp held at St. Francis Music Center, performed outdoors for a large attentive audience during the recent 2015 Green Fair Folk Festival on August 5. Members of the band include (L to R): Will Heschke, Neil Leisenheimer, Rachel Leisenheimer, Rene Stalmer, Sadie Stalmer (drums), Isaas Olson and Colton Yorek. In addition, other URock bands who performed at the Green Fair included The Dominos, Fovero, Revelations and Disaster Area.
Congratulations to Cathy Bahmer, Little Falls, the lucky winner of a rain barrel donated by Tom (TR) Rothleutner and Team 1548 of Tractor Supply Company, Little Falls.
