Sister Cordy Korkowski
As you know, following the death of Sister Judine Cassidy, and in response to a request from St. Francis High School Alumnae, a Sister Judine Cassidy Scholarship Fund was established in 2014. From that fund, four $500 scholarships will now be available annually to qualifying students from the Little Falls Community High School, Continuing Education Center and St. Francis Music Center and to the Franciscan Community Volunteer program.
We are happy to announce that the recipient of the first scholarship is Brittani DeDomines, a 2014 graduate of the Little Falls Community High School. Brittani is currently attending St. Cloud Technical & Community College and recently completed her first semester of classes. A check for $500 was sent in her name to the St. Cloud Technical & Community College which will be used toward her tuition expenses. In addition, a letter was sent to Brittani, informing her of the scholarship dollars and congratulating her on her academic achievements.
In addition, the St. Francis Music Center and the Franciscan Community Volunteers received notice of their scholarship monies on January 28, 2015. By our support and presence to the youth, we continue to pass on our Franciscan values—the same values that many alumnae received while attending St. Francis High School.
