Sister Jan Kilian
Summer 2014 is alive and beautiful with spirited people, plants and animals.
Two baby goats, Oscar and Willie, arrived to delight guests with their playful jumping –they are received by Sisters Paula, Jan and Carol.
Kate Kranz-Odendahl, our friend and Franciscan Associate is spending some time here as she transitions back to Minnesota after two years with Peace Corp in China. Sister Janice Weichman visited before returning to her mission in Monterey, Mexico.
Our new Collie, Roxy, stays close to Laurie O’Connor and Sister Paula weeding in the herb garden.
The Hollyhocks survived the winter, lighting up the garden by the Wellness Center.
Barn Swallows once again filled little mud nests around which their parents dive at anyone who comes into the barn whether to photograph a nest or merely to feed the chickens.
Sunny, one of two cats who live here, played right along with Sister Carol on the flute outside on the deck.
Birds of every feather bless us. Baltimore Orioles come faithfully to our feeders; the Indigo Bunting comes more rarely.
