Sister Pat Forster
In January, six teens participated in a Franciscan Retreat in Saltillo called Alverno. In February, a young couple from Mezquite and another 14 teens participated in Alverno. This retreat is all about Francis, conversion, commitment to Jesus Christ. We are so privileged to have this opportunity and to receive financing through Liz Rydeen's grant writing for these participants. It is very exciting. They return here with TAU crosses, with a deeper commitment to Christ and to the good of all. They also greet one another with “Paz y bien.” Since the January retreat, the teens have gained money for another five persons to participate in a Teen Alverno.
Paz y bien.
My Alverno experience was marvelous for my life because I lived an Encounter with God in my very interior. Now I know that God has a plan for me that is something great. Feeling the presence of God so close to me, feeling God's infinite love for me, gave me peace and joy. I don't know what words to describe but I now I have a mission here in this world. I will follow until as I come to understand all that is here. Thank you for the invitation. Peace and all Good. Yaki
